Apa itu Promotion Mix ? Hubunganya dengan Product Life Cycle ?

Promotion mix adalah serangkaian Tactic dalam marketing. Diantara lain terdapat beberapa konsep dalam Marketing tools yaitu, Direct marketing, Sales promotion, Personal selling, Advertisement, dan Public relation.

Product Life Cycle adalah suatu grafik yang menggambarkan riwayat hidup produk sejak diperkenalkan ke market hingga ditarik dari market. Product life cycle tergolongkan menjadi beberapa tahap yaitu introduction, growth, maturity, decline dan termination. Pada tahap introduction dan growth yang paling berperan penting adalah advertising karena pada tahap ini volume penjualan belum tinggi dan masih fresh. pada tahap maturity, produk mulai banyak di kenal dan penjualan lebih stabil. Di tahap akhir, penjualan terus menurun maka perusahaan harus mengganti dengan barang yang baru dan sudah di pasarkan untuk mengganti barang/model yang lama. Product life cycle ini merupakan konsep yang penting di dalam pemasaran karena dengan adanya grafik, marketers dapat mengidentifikasi kapan saat yang tepat melakukan sebuah strategi yang akan berdampak akan nasib kedepan perusahaan tersebut.

The P’s in Marketing Mix

Product

A product is an item that is produced to satisfy the needs of people/s. The product can be intangible or tangible and it can be in the form of services or goods. Producing a product should be in the right place when it is needed. Example, selling food in the food court.

Price

The price of the product is the amount that a customer has to pay to enjoy the product. Price is very important component of a marketing plan as it will determines the company survival. Adjusting the price has a big impact on the entire marketing strategy and demand of the product. Example, selling a higher price for Es Buah while it’s Ramadhan season.

Place

Choosing the right position and place can be efficient throughout the whole process of Producing and Distribution of a product. This will make a great impact of the outcome cost of a company. Example, build a food factory in the farm.

Promotion

Promotion is a very important component of marketing as it can increased sales and branding. The element of a great promotion are Advertising, Sales promotion, Public Relation, and Sales Organization. Example, advertising in the form of radio media.

People

In Service industries people are the most important element of any service, because they tend to produced and consumed services at the same time and in marketing they are important because they are the ones who deliver the service. Hire a good quality of people can maintain or increased the value of the company itself. Example, conduct a training program for employee.

Process

Process is about making cutting the system and the process to make a product effective and efficiently to minimize cost. Example, purchasing goods directly to the distributor.

Physical Evidence

In the service industries, there should be physical evidence in the service that was delivered because there are no physical attributes to a service, so a consumer tends to rely on a Physical evidence. Example, information of services in the form of website.

Marketing Mix ?

The marketing mix refers to the set of tactics, that a company uses to promote its brand or product in the market using 4 P’s which is Price, Product, Place, and Promotion and marketing mix it’s about getting the right product, at the right time, and at the right price. While, the 7 P’s are being used mainly in the service industries that includes People, Process, and Physical evidance.

The importance understanding of Marketing mix are very crucial in the company. Many business didn’t up well or failed because they don’t know the right mix, However if a company well known about the composition of the right mix, it can make a lot of profit and a successful business.

TACTIC Marketing

Tactic Marketing are the actions taken to support marketing strategy. while marketing strategy is a business overall plan for reaching the market and turning them into customers of the product or service that the business provides.  Value refers to the value a company’s product to customers why should they choose to buy their product. To have a successful business, One’s company should have a great Tactic for marketing and it’s product should have a unique value of it’s own.
